Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Monday that an investment of AEON Mall in Cambodia is very important to reflect the potential of Cambodian economics as livelihoods of Cambodian people have remarkably improved.
He added that Japanese investors feel confident to invest in Cambodia.
Speaking at an official opening ceremony of US$205 million mall, the largest shopping mall in Cambodia, he said he has spent more time to meet with Japanese investors than other foreign investors to explain and convince the Japanese investors.
"After the launch of this mall [AEON Mall] and appeal by Japanese government, more Japanese companies will come to Cambodia," he told the ceremony, adding that Cambodia itself will also facilitate the investment climate in order to attract foreign investors.
